Direct Ethernet and power connection
The Ouster Y-cable features a proprietary connector on the sensor side and then splits into two branches. The first ends in a female RJ45 Ethernet connector for data transmission, while the second integrates a female DC power connector.
This architecture enables the LiDAR to be connected directly to a network infrastructure and a compatible power supply, without using the Ouster Interface Box.
Several lengths and configurations
| Variant | Sensor-side connector |
| 1 m | Straight |
| 5 m | Right-angle |
| 10 m | Straight |
| 15 m | Straight |
A cable designed for integration in production environments
Unlike the Interface Box, which is mainly intended for development and laboratory testing, the RJ45R Y-cable is designed by Ouster for use in production environments.
The Ouster connector on the sensor side has an IP68/IP69K protection rating. The Type 3 cable uses a durable sheath and has a rated operating temperature range of -40 °C to +125 °C.
Version with right-angle connector
The 5-meter variant is available with a right-angle Ouster connector. This configuration makes LiDAR installation easier when space around the connector is limited and helps avoid excessive cable bending immediately after it exits the sensor.
