- 21 degrees of freedom 21 total DOF—significantly more than the Revo 2's 11—distributed to mirror human hand kinematics and support in-hand manipulation beyond simple open-close grasping.
- Direct-drive backdrivable joints Fully direct-drive, backdrivable joint architecture provides smooth motion, low transmission backlash, and the force-control sensitivity required for stable in-hand object manipulation.
- Full-palm tactile sensing at 0.01 N resolution Full-palm tactile sensing layer with 0.01 N force resolution enables contact-aware manipulation and precise grasp force regulation across the entire palm surface.
- Fingertip visuotactile sensing at 130 µm resolution Fingertip visuotactile sensors detect approximately 130 µm surface deformation, supporting fine-grained contact detection and in-hand object state estimation.
- Demonstrated complex manipulation tasks Public demonstrations include Rubik's Cube solving, paper cutting, scissor use, bead handling, and string play—tasks requiring kinematic complexity, sensing, and in-hand dexterity together.
- Embodied AI and humanoid robotics positioning Designed for humanoid robots, mobile manipulators, teleoperation systems, and embodied learning platforms where human-level in-hand dexterity is the development target.
