This pair of simple Hobby Motors with Encoders provides one of the easiest ways to add motion and feedback to your robotics projects. Their single direct-current (DC) gearmotor features an integrated Hall effect speed encoder allowing your microcontroller to accurately track the motor's rotation and speed. Rather than simply applying power and hoping your robot moves correctly the encoder provides the critical feedback needed for precise autonomous navigation and speed adjustments. These specific motors utilize durable plastic gear trains with a 1:48 ratio offering a good balance of speed and torque for small-scale chassis and educational builds.Simple Integration and FeedbackThe onboard Hall sensor uses a magnetic plate to detect rotation. When the sensor detects the South pole of the magnet it outputs a high electrical level; detecting the North pole outputs a low level. By counting these pulses your controller can easily calculate exact wheel positions.Power Compatibility: Operates smoothly on a flexible 4.5V to 9V supply making them easy to power with standard battery packs or motor drivers.Easy Wiring: Features 6-pin detachable cable interfaces for clean routing and easy connections to your motor driver or development platform.XRP Ready: These are the exact motor and encoder assemblies utilized in our XRP kits. Please be aware that this product includes a pair of motors.
