Description

The Unitree G1-D Ultimate D U9 is a high-end dual-arm humanoid robot that puts advanced five-finger dexterous hands on a mobile chassis. Within the G1-D family it is the build for teams that want both intelligent mobility and expressive, human-like manipulation in a single platform — the robot travels to the work, then engages with it using an end-effector shaped like a hand.

The five-finger geometry is what defines the D configuration. A hand with five digits can form the grasp taxonomies people use, work with tools and controls designed for human hands, and produce gestures that read clearly to a person standing nearby. That last point is easy to undervalue: in human-robot interaction and public-facing demonstration settings, a hand that looks and behaves like a hand communicates intent in a way a parallel gripper simply cannot. Unitree describes the U9's manipulation as expressive for exactly this reason.

Paired with the wheeled base, the platform is positioned for research, AI and automation development. It suits embodied-AI groups training policies that must generalise to human environments, automation teams evaluating humanoid form factors against real tasks, and laboratories running interaction studies where the robot's hands are part of how it communicates. Buyers who prioritise force-controlled repeatability over anthropomorphism should compare the Ultimate B U7 with its Dex3-1 three-finger hands.

Robotix Market sources the Unitree G1-D range new through established distribution channels, and every unit is supplied with the full manufacturer's warranty provided by Unitree Robotics. Technical questions and any warranty work are coordinated with the manufacturer's service network. Because the G1-D is a research-grade platform, we recommend confirming your intended workcell layout, power provision and software toolchain with our team before ordering.

Features

Advanced five-finger dexterous hands Five-digit dexterous hands enable human-like grasp taxonomies and expressive manipulation, letting the robot use tools and controls designed for human hands.
Mobile chassis A wheeled base carries the dual-arm humanoid upper body through the environment, integrating intelligent mobility with manipulation in one platform.
Expressive manipulation Hand-shaped end-effectors communicate intent legibly to nearby people, which matters in human-robot interaction and public-facing demonstration work.
Dual-arm bimanual capability Two coordinated arms support two-handed sequences — holding while manipulating, transferring between hands and bimanual assembly.
Research, AI and automation development Positioned by Unitree for research, AI and automation development, suiting embodied-AI policy training and humanoid form-factor evaluation.
High-end G1-D Ultimate build Sits in the wheel-base Ultimate tier alongside the U6, U7, U8 and U10, which are differentiated principally by dexterous hand fitment.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Unitree G1-D Ultimate D U9 used for?

It is a high-end mobile dual-arm humanoid robot used for research, AI development and automation development. Its combination of a mobile chassis and advanced five-finger dexterous hands suits embodied-AI training, humanoid form-factor evaluation and human-robot interaction work in real environments.

Why choose five-finger dexterous hands?

A five-finger hand can form the grasps people use, operate tools and controls designed around the human hand, and gesture in ways that read clearly to nearby people. For research aimed at human environments and for interaction or demonstration settings, that anthropomorphic geometry is often the requirement rather than a preference.

How does the Ultimate D U9 differ from the Ultimate B U7?

Both are wheel-base Ultimate builds on the same G1-D platform. The U9 is fitted with advanced five-finger dexterous hands for expressive, human-like manipulation, while the U7 uses Dex3-1 force-controlled three-finger hands, which trade anthropomorphism for force-regulated, highly repeatable grasping.

How much does the Unitree G1-D Ultimate D U9 cost?

The Unitree G1-D Ultimate D U9 is listed at $62,300. That figure is indicative and can move with configuration, destination country, duties and freight, so we recommend submitting a quote request through the Robotix Market product page for a firm delivered price and current lead time.

How is the robot supplied, and what warranty and support apply?

Robotix Market sources the Unitree G1-D range new through established distribution channels, and each unit carries the full manufacturer's warranty provided by Unitree Robotics. Support and any warranty claims are coordinated with the manufacturer's service network. We ship worldwide; on-site installation and commissioning are not included.
